🌿 Holistic Emotion Coaching
1 in 7 people in Hong Kong experience emotional distress
Depression and anxiety are far more common than we think. In Hong Kong, 1 in 7 people — an estimated 1 million — experience these emotional struggles. You are not "broken" and you are not "abnormal" — you are simply, like millions of Hongkongers, tired, tense and stuck in this city.
Why we don't use the word "therapy"
Because the word "therapy" carries a hidden message: "You are sick, and you need to be cured."
When you keep hearing that you are "ill", that you have "symptoms", that you need "treatment", these words slowly seep into your subconscious and become a form of "negative hypnosis" — you begin to believe you are "broken", "abnormal", "lesser than". That label is itself a form of harm.
We don't do that.
What we do is "coaching"
Coaching is a fundamentally different kind of relationship:
- We don't label you a "patient" — we see you as a "client": a capable, resourceful person who is simply stuck for now;
- We don't focus on "what's wrong with you", but on "who you want to become";
- We don't "cure" you — we empower you, so you gain your own ability to handle emotions and face life.
You don't need to be "treated". You just need someone to walk with you as you reclaim your own strength.
A holistic view: emotions are not an island
Holistic psychology believes your emotional distress is not an "illness", but a signal that your body, mind, spirit and environment are out of balance:
- Body: poor sleep, fatigue, changes in appetite, tension — emotions write themselves on the body;
- Mind: anxiety, low mood, recurring negative thoughts;
- Spirit: loss of meaning, direction and connection with yourself;
- Environment: work stress, relationship conflict, social atmosphere, life transitions.
So we won't treat your emotions in isolation — we'll help you see clearly: what is your emotion trying to tell you?
Our method: 4 positive steps
- ① Listen: first, a safe, non-judgemental space to hear you out.
- ② Notice: help you see the links between your emotions, body and thoughts.
- ③ Reframe: shift from "something's wrong with me" to "I have resources".
- ④ Act: design a concrete, workable next step together, so you take back control of your life.
