💞

From monthly cold war to real conversation

A couple married 12 years (anonymous)
The Pain

The more she wanted to talk, the more he withdrew — one chased, the other fled. Every fight was blame, silence, patch-up, then explosion again. They had not truly talked in a long time.

The Shift

By seeing their interaction loop, the husband said for the first time: "It’s not that I don’t care — I’m afraid I’ll say the wrong thing." The wife realised her chasing was really "I’m terrified of losing you."

The Result

From "why are you always like this" to "I really need you" — they rebuilt a safe connection.

🧸

The real need behind a "naughty" boy

Family of an 8-year-old boy (anonymous)
The Pain

He kept losing his temper at school and refusing homework. Teachers called it a "behaviour problem", and the parents were about to get him assessed and labelled.

The Shift

Instead of rushing to classify, we understood first: the boy felt "nothing I do is ever good enough" — his outbursts were the only way he knew to ask for help.

The Result

The parents learned to respond to his emotions rather than suppress the behaviour. Three months later, his outbursts dropped dramatically.

🌿

A burnt-out professional learns to breathe again

A 35-year-old professional (anonymous)
The Pain

Crushing work pressure, chronic insomnia, feeling "I have to carry everything alone" — but the more he carried, the lonelier and more anxious he became.

The Shift

In a non-judgemental space, he admitted for the first time: "I’m exhausted." We helped him reconnect with community and learn he didn’t have to carry it alone.

The Result

From insomnia and anxiety to feeling "someone is here" — and finding balance again.

🤝

A team that finally really collaborated

Cross-department team at a tech company (anonymous)
The Pain

Departments worked in silos with mutual distrust; meetings became debates, and endless training had changed nothing.

The Shift

Through experiential activities, members truly "saw" each other’s working styles and struggles — not just job titles.

The Result

From shifting blame to proactive collaboration; cross-department delivery time dropped by 30%.

常見問題

What is Holistic Psychology?
Holistic Psychology holds that the whole is greater than the sum of its parts. It does not break problems apart, but understands a person systemically across body, mind, spirit and environment, and fosters change from the root.
How is it different from traditional counselling?
Traditional Western psychology tends toward a mind-body split, focusing on cognition and behaviour. Holistic Psychology integrates Eastern and Western wisdom, working on body, mind, spirit and environment together, valuing present-moment awareness and refusing to label you.
How do I prepare for the first session?
You do not need to prepare a story in advance, or judge whether you are "serious enough" for counselling. You can start with whatever is troubling you most, a relationship, or a recurring emotion.
Can sessions be conducted online?
Yes. Whether online sessions are suitable depends on your location, privacy and the nature of your concern. We will agree on the most suitable arrangement with you.
Why does Holistic Psychology value group belonging?
Research shows that a sense of belonging is closely linked to happiness. The Harvard Study of Adult Development, an 80-year longitudinal study, found that good relationships are the single most important predictor of happiness and health; research by Stanford scholar Emma Seppälä also shows that people who feel more connected to others have lower levels of anxiety and depression. Holistic Psychology values the relationship between the individual and the group precisely because "belonging" is a deep human need.
